A big part of my life surrounds aviation and flying. I am a commercial instrument-rated airplane pilot and a commercial drone pilot. I’ve been an airplane pilot since 1988.
My life as an aviator is broken up in different compartments as you will see below.
Public Safety and Non-Profit Pilot
I am the Chief Pilot for the Wake Forest Fire Department and also fly for North Carolina Emergency Management, Department of Transportation, and the Division of Aviation.
I have several different websites related to these activities.
ReportDroneAccident.com – This website gathers drone accident data and presents it to UAS pilots to help them be more informed about issues, crashes, incidents, and other information to make flying safer.
PSFlight.org – Public Safety Flight is dedicated to assisting all public safety pilots for police departments and fire departments to be more aware of issues impacting public safety pilots.
Pilot.dog – I am also a non-profit dog rescue pilot and fly dogs from kill shelters to rescues so they can be adopted.
Aviation Author
I am also an author on public safety aviation for the world’s largest aviation association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. You can find my articles for them over here.
